Hope the removable water tank has been improved!

I recently bought a 2nd coffeemaker to replace one I've used for little over a year. My 1st coffeemaker developed a 'leak' in the bottom of the water tank and was told Kitchenaid improved the problem I was having. However, comparing my old one to the new one, I couldn't discern any visible difference between the two units.
The main reason I bought the 14-cup Kitchenaid was that I DID have a removable water tank....plus the 14-cup capacity is unique to the market.
Will watch my new coffeemaker carefullly to see if it, too, develops this problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!
