Don't buy kitchen aide coffee makers

Don't buy Kitchen Aide unless you want to be continually frustrated for the next 5 years. First, it drops water all over the place. Everytime you use it be sure to have a towel handy because the carafe is going to spill, the drip spout is going to leak, even the top of the appliance ends up with water on it when you open the top resevoir. If that's not enough, be sure to keep your directions for how to reset the time or auto set, so that you don't have to go through a 100 trial and errors, punching the buttions until you finally guess the right combination of pushing the buttons in the right order to get the desired reset. God, it shouldn't take an engineer to work a coffee pot. On second thought, didn't an engineer have a hand in designing this worthless product??
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was hesitant to purchase a 14 cup coffee maker, but the standard 8-12 cup filter works fine, no running over of grinds. This machine is sturdy, no dripping when pouring a cup and matches my Kitchen Aid appliances.

My wife gave this to me for Christmas. Like it well so far. Like the two extra cups of coffee I get every morning. Everything on it works well. Like the water tank removes for easy filling. Only reason to not give it five stars is I have had it for a few months only. So far so good...

Why I like the coffee maker

One of my favorite things about this coffee maker is that I can fill the water holder in the back and don't have to use the carafe to do it. Also that the coffee basked swings out instead of having to open the top.
