We shopped around for a new coffee maker as we wanted one that you could remove the water container to clean if needed. The coffee brews beautifully and it looks great with our other Kitchen Aid appliances. We put it on a small turntable so it is easy to access where to pour the water in.

Best coffemaker ever!

After having FIVE coffeemakers over the past two years, I decided to try the KitchenAid especially because of the 14 cup feature. Hands down, the BEST coffeemaker ever!!! Not only because of the 14 cup feature, but the programmability with as many hours as you prefer for hot coffee for hours! Then the swing-out coffee compartment for a no-spill access!! And best of all, the removable water compartment!!! I fill it at the tap!!! No more filling the carafe and having to pour the water into the water compartment, spilling it down the side or sloshing it over the counter!!! It slips into place with a click and close the lid and coffee is on the way!! If you have tried the Mr. Coffee, Black & Decker, Kenmore, and Frigidaire, and are still looking for the perfect coffeemaker, you need to try this KitchenAid! You will not be disappointed!!!

This will be our third coffee maker in just a few years. The coffee maker is very attractive and only if it didn't leak we would have given it 5 stars. So, far the new one isn't leaking. Design has been changed. Carafe on another also leaked. KitchenAid is aware of problems and made appropriate adjustments, That's why we stuck with them.

I would recommend this product to a friend, because I believe in Kitchen Aid products, however, I had trouble with my first coffee maker and you were kind to replace it. The replacement also makes great coffee, but the light went out on the timer/settings pad and I have to just keep pressing set and brew and hope for the best. I'm sorry to complain, but since I have had a Kitchen Aid mixer for 62 years, I think "quality" every time I look for an appliance I think Kitchen Aid.

Great Coffeemaker!

I've been using this coffeemaker for a couple of weeks now. Makes delicious coffee, and setting the warmer at medium keeps the coffee at a perfect temperature for me.
Nice, easy to read display that actually lights up for easy viewing.
The only slight downside for me is that, coming from a coffeemaker that used cone filters, I find that I have to use an extra scoop of coffee to get the strength I like with the basket filter in this model. No biggie, I guess.
I hope it lives up to Kitchenaid's reputation and lasts a couple of years at least. I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

I bought this coffee maker a month ago, went through two Cuisinart's and thought I'd try a Kitchenaid. Little tricky on setting the auto timer, but we eventually figured it out. Has all the features I was looking for. The height of the machine is 14.5" which was shorter than on the description - fits perfectly under our under the counter stereo system.
