We searched far and wide for a reasonably priced 14 cupper when our old one died. This was well worth the investment! BEST feature in my (sleepy / first thing in the morning / time to make the coffee) opinion, is the removable water tank. Fill it up at the sink, snap it in place on the coffee maker! No pouring into the tiny port of most other machines and spilling water all over the counter. I realize the machine also has a programmable / start it for me first thing in the morning feature...but I don't like to leave the grounds exposed to air - I prefer to set it up and brew it fresh. OH!! and ALSO...KA nailed it with a carafe' that doesn't drip when pouring! Some may say they are only MY problems, but...I think at one time or another, we've all been there. ;)

Great Coffee Maker!

I purchased this after our 6 month old "new" coffee maker would overflow. We tried everything to the point we limited the amount of coffee grinds, which ruins the coffee. After cleaning this one I didn't have great expectations, but after a full month we have not had one issue with it.

I had a Gevalia coffee maker for 5 years & it had to be replaced. My son saw this coffee maker, so I decided to try the KA brand & I LOVE IT!! Love the reg/bold setting & how it keeps the coffee hot for up to 2 hours after it is brewed. I love my KA brand. This is the 1st KA appliance that I have owned but won't be my last!!

purchased this unit about six months ago, and was initially impressed. the first unit developed an error message #2 which prevented the unit from keeping the carafe warm. customer service replaced the unit. unit #2 worked well but developed an issue where the swinging coffee basket would open up towards the end of the brew cycle and created a mess on my counter that seeped into drawers beneath also developed the dreaded error message #2. unit #3 is on the way- fingers crossed
PS our house is loaded with Kitchen Aid products hope they hold up!
