I went through so many other brands and they just wear out. We were replacing them almost every year to year and half. I love my kitchen aid coffee maker so glad I found it.

I feel that by using it, my coffee maker won't get the nasty buildup inside of it. It also has a clean function for when I need to clean my coffee maker. It has a 14 cup carafe, perfect for my mornings. The empire red makes it stand out on my counter top and pleasing to the eye.

Makes great coffee BUT............................

I unplug my appliances when done. This coffee maker requires me to set the clock every time before it will brew a new pot. It would seem that 1 touch brewing would be much easier. Otherwise great coffee
