Be prepared to buy a new one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this coffee maker almost 2 years ago. The first one I had, the displayed blacked out within a couple of months. They replaced it free of charge. Now my second one will no longer make coffee. The display is still working. I was told that they do not repair them, it is too expensive. For the price I paid for this coffee pot, it should last more than 2 years. My old machine, which was a comparable model lasted 10 years+. Kitchen Aid is usually very reliable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent before the heating tube leaked

This top rated coffee maker was indeed better than the cheaper ones I used before in many ways ... until it leaked less than a year in service. The water comes from an invisible hole on the heating tube, starting with a water stain after each brew and now I'd lose ~1/10 of the water to it. Good design, but not all top quality.

Bought a 2nd one thru company direct, and it leaked and tray kept popping open after a few days ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several kitchen aid appliances now and it the past. I had a issue with my coffee brewer that was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. I love the crafe no dripping and the fact that I can remove the water resovior but most of all it brews fast and keeps our coffee hot.
