My old Kitchen-aid Coffee Maker burned up, after many years of use, so I bought the new model. I love it. It's easy to use and keeps the coffee a lot hotter than most models. I find the water tank a little awkward, since I keep my coffee maker on the counter top, under a cabinet. That means I have to pull the coffee maker all the way out and turn it half way around to fill it up. Otherwise, I love it. I'd recommend any Kitchen-aid product. I have a dozen different tools and love them all!
Pros: easy to use, Performance
Cons: water tank is awkward to fill

I have had my coffee maker for over 2 months and it's fantastic. You do have to watch to make sure that the area where the grounds goes into is latched. It sometimes opens. I've had it open on me twice but was my fault.

I love the removable water tank! It did not strike me as a great innovation until I used it. It is very easy to remove and replace, I stand mine in the sink and let it fill while I get the grounds ready. It eliminates the need to lift a carafe full of water and pour it into the coffee maker, and splash it down the side of the coffee maker and on the counter. The removable water tank also makes it very easy to clean and keep clean. The tank also has a replaceable water filter, which allows me to use straight tap water instead of filter/bottled water.
The coffee filter basket is attached to a very sturdy door that swing out of the front of the maker. This make remove and replacement very simple and covenant. The basket also sits flat on the counter so it is easy to add the filter and the grounds. The valve at the bottom also closes quickly and tightly, I rarely hear a sizzle when I put the carafe out while it is brewing.
I love that the carafe has a glass lip, I have had carafes with plastic rims that dribble when pouring and they eventually detach from the glass.
I like the style, it looks sleek, not bulky. It fits nicely under my cabinets.
It also makes great coffee! I would definitely buy this same model when the time comes.

We are so happy with our new coffee maker. The coffee comes out tasting so much better and it is easy to program. I also love the fact that it coordinates with my Kitchenaid Stand up mixer in the same red color. It also was a great value for the price.

This is my third KitchenAid Coffee Pot and I have had good luck with every one. I like this new design because of the removable water tank. The filter holder is easier to work with and clean. I like the way it swings out to remove the filter. I also own KitchenAid Mixers, blenders, food processors, and cookware. I LOVE them all!! Thanks KitchenAid!!!

Automatic brew time is a major consideration for our lifestyle. All programmable coffeemakers have a simple one-step automatic program. This one does not; although the manufacturer thinks that it does. In order to reactivate the programmed brew time you must follow a 5 step menu function. Not insurmountable, but irritating to do daily. The directions state : to reactivate the programmed time, press and hold the BREW button. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I had the unit home and set up. I called Kitchen-aid to ascertain what I was doing wrong. Turns out that whoever programmed the unit got it wrong. This should be fixed if they continue to sell this model. Aside from that it's a nice unit and I intend to keep the one I got (and gripe every night when I program it for the following morning)!

Cons: not one step programible
