I ordered this to replace the older model and was very pleased to see the improvements made. The display is easier to see and the programming is much easier. I also like the push-button release of the brew basket door and the heating element has been improved to keep the coffee hotter. I can now enter the amount of time I want to keep the warmer on. The older model was great, but this model is so much more. Definately worth it.
Kitchen aid is the only brand I've found that has a 14 cup coffee maker. This is my 2nd. I especially like the red color, it looks great in my kitchen.
Pros: Performance, Design, 14 cup
Cons: can't find filters locally, many steps to start timer

We have been using this coffee maker daily for about 3 or 4 months. It makes great tasting coffee, easy to use. The only improvement I can think of is that once you set the timer you should not have to do it every night. We love this model.
This pot has a great filter that keeps the coffee tasting good. The pot is so easy to use with the detachable water canister. Kitchen Aid is the best. I will never buy a cheaper brand...it is not worth the trade off.
Pros: easy to use, Performance, Convenient Features

The filter basket is not big enough for the coffee grounds

Love the 14c capacity but this coffee maker seems to have a considerable design flaw. The filter basket is not big enough to hold the coffee grounds. For a 14c pot, I put in 9-10 tbsp. of coffee, which is less than the recommended amount. We have grounds in every pot because the basket is too small and can't hold the grounds while it brews.
Pros: Large Capacity, adjustable hot plate, easy to use, Convenient Features
Cons: brew basket overflows, alot of steam from the vents on top

We purchased our KitchenAid coffee maker a couple of months ago and it has proved to be just what we wanted. So many great features and looks great in our kitchen. Love the ability to make from 4 to 14 cups and coffee flavor always good.
