Both my wife and I like the coffee maker. Especially the seperate water container. The grounds never get into the water resevoir as with other machines, even higher end machines. Hopefully this one will last, as we expire coffee makers about ever year and a half!
Pros: Convenient Features, easy to use, Design, Innovative, seperate water resevoir
Cons: A Little Pricey

My husband and I had a Cuisinart that we liked but it was quite tempermental, especially with regard to the amount of grounds that made it from the grinder into the filter. When I bought a pod-type coffee maker, my husband stopped drinking coffee at home. When I was no longer able to tolerate the taste of the coffee in the pods, I bought this Kitchenaid. The first day I attempted to make coffee I had a lot of trouble getting it to brew. After speaking to a very helpful young man with the Kitchenaid call center, I discovered my mistake was holding the brew button too long. I encouraged him to pass along my suggestion that the word "quickly" be added to the instruction book, because I can see where this could be a common problem, I. e., holding the brew button instead of pressing it quickly to begin the brewing process. Now I know we will have great tasting coffee for years to come. Also, I read somewhere on line that this coffeemaker shoots the coffee through, almost like a percolator, which is why it sometimes, depending on the amount of water used, seems to brew at an uneven pace. That could account for the really excellent flavor. Hope that's helpful to anyone who may have had problems with brewing as I did. Also love our Kitchenaid grinder -- another reason the coffee tastes so fresh and delicious.

I previously had a carafe-less coffeemaker but find the KitchenAid Glass Carafe to make much more consistent and clean-tasting coffee. Mostly because it is very easy to keep clean. Also, the removable fill-tank is an awesome feature as it eliminates any spilling when pouring from carafe to tank. The setting buttons are also quite intuitive and user-friendly. Finally, I may be partial to red, but it's the sleekest looking appliance on our countertop. If you're looking for a well-made, dependable coffee maker, I think you'd be hard press to find anything better at this price point.

I bought this coffee a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with it. This is the 3rd kitchenaid coffee maker I have owned and have like every one. This one has a lot of very nice features and I like the 4 hour keep warm a lot.

Easily the best coffee maker I have ever owned. It has all the features I was looking for. If I had only one suggestion to give, it would be to make the reservoir more visible for filling. The dark glass is very hard for me to see as I fill it with water.

We have had this coffee maker about a year. It makes excellent coffee, however, often the latch to the ground container pops open during brewing. My husband places two of my headbands around it to keep it in place. He is starting to forget how great the coffee is and be annoyed with the machine.
