Brews a great pot of coffee - when it works correctly!

Have had this coffee maker in red for a couple weeks. Looks nice and makes a delicious pot of coffee. The trouble is that the coffee filter piece can open during the brewing cycle - dripping coffee all over. This happened 3 times so we can't program the coffee maker to turn on at a set time. (I was fortunate to have been in the kitchen when the incidents happened.) If I can return it to the store, I will trust the Kitchenaid brand once more time and get a replacement. If I have to return the second coffee maker, I won't buy Kitchenaid products anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Coffee pot

I received this coffee pot as a gift and really love it. It is very easy to fill by just removing the back container and sitting it underneath the faucet. You no longer have to fill up the carafe and then spill water all over the counter while you are dumping it inside the coffee pot. Just remove the back and fill. Great idea kitchen aid.

I had an older model Kitchenaid coffee maker for the last 10 years and even with it's drawbacks, it was a great machine. It finally died and a new Kitchenaid was our only consideration. This new model has addressed all of the older models shortcomings. The timer, pause and the programmability make it flawless! Now the coffee maker doesn't shut off before we've finished the coffee and the brew basket doesn't drip all over the burner. In short, WE LOVE IT!

I like this coffe maker. Coffee is good tasting and pot is nice and easy to use.
I wish that it was a little easier to fill with water. I was imagining some sort of small roller feet would make it easier to move around on the counter. The look of it is nice , it's not too large and bulky.

I bought this 14 Cup Glass Carafe Coffee Maker Approximately a month ago..This is the Best Purchase I ever made, it makes the best coffee and stays fresh until the 2 hour auto shuts off!

Although the first one I bought was defective, Kitchenaid came through and sent me a new one. I love this coffee maker, especially the fact that it's a 14 cup. Very easy to use and love the feature of just pulling out the water bin and filling it. We bought the red one and it is so pretty. And it brews super fast!

I bought this about a month ago and I am so pleased! We had used the dispensing type for years and I was hesitant about a carafe type but this one has convinced me I made the right choice. It is easy to program, the "hot " keep warm feature is truly hot and it is so easy to keep clean. And I love the red color. Great coffee maker!
