This has to be the best coffee maker I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I love the water tank for ease of filling. 14 cup carafe is wonderful. Don't have to make as many pots. :)

The last few years I have had a Bun coffee pot, but I'll tell you I love my Kitchen Aid much better. The look of it was what gor my attention, but the way it works has me loving it.

The coffee pot has a plastic taste and smell. I have washed it several times, have run vinegar through it, washed the parts in the dish washer and the coffee still tastes like plastic. I have always been a fan of Kitchen-aid so I hope someone can give a suggestion on how to fix this. I would not recommend this product for this reason.

This is my third 14 cup carafe coffee maker. Unfortunately the first stopped functioning after 1 year and 3 months. I deciced to buy a replacement and another for my 2nd home since I love the coffee maker and was willing to give the model another try.

Err2 problems

After not following "clean" instructions for only a few days [first time ever to have received the message] the machine gave an ERR2 message. The manual does not even describe any error messages. I am currently attempting a "Clean" using cleaning vinegar (10%) mixed half and half. but am not confident given other reviewer comments re Err2 as I am now receiving the message again. If pleasantly surprised in a few days I will write a more positive review. Right now I am expecting to replace an expensive coffee maker with possibly just about a year's use but we foolishly did not keep the receipt handy.

I bought this product about 2 months ago andm not nearly as happy with this as i have been with other kitchenaide products. Yesterday the display went blank. I unpluged and it did not come back. Spent 40 mins on hold with company and finally had to hang up. Borrowed coffee maker from neighbor until this one gets fixed.
Product also boast a brew setting of normal or bold. I have not been able to notice any difference between the two. Additionally you have to reset the auto on each time. Old systems you just pushed a button
