Awful product

Our fridge has failed 5 times in the last year due to a known design flaw. Per an Electrolux rep, the design flaw was created by the company. They knew the water line would freeze without a heater installed but they did not install one because the fridge would not pass energy star requirements. Our 5 failures would be more if it not for the delay tactics used in the service process. Despite the known design flaw. electrolux requires a service visit to diagnoce and a second to install the fix. Plan to spend a lot of time at home with this product and expect it to not function correctly for 80% of the time you own it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Things I'm unhappy with.

I paid a lot of money for the unit expecting a trouble free unit. I've had a repairman out to fix the ice maker at my exspence and I have had problems finding someone that carries the filter for the ice maker. I've tried three different stores and they dont carry this type, on line order only. I have also had lots of trouble with the slide out shelves and the plastic clips the hold the shelves in. Still can't figure out how to order the parts for the shelves. For the money I paid for this unit I expected a better, trouble free unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would NOT recommend

This refrigerator was new when we moved into our house two years ago. We had several service calls when it was covered by warranty. Food would freeze in the refrigerator portion of the unit.
Now, the water filter is stuck. The repairman said it would cost $300 to $400 to fix that part. I am selling it and purchasing a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer! I'll never own this brand again!

I purchased this refrigerator after completely remodeling my kitchen; space was at a premium so the counter-depth was perfect. The shelves are several inches deeper than any other brand offering the counter-depth refrigerator. I am completely satisfied. I love the lights as they come on and off so brightly. The adjustable shelves are great, as is the temperature controlled drawers.The stainless steel finish stays nice and it is easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone looking for a state of the art appliance.

I like:
the set-up of the side by side
the numerous bright lights inside,not just one single bulb at the top
the large, clear pull-out bins make it easy to see the contents
I noticed:
foods in the frig. bins get very cold, almost frozen
foods on top shelves of frig. get very cold and those touching the side adjacent to the freezer can get frozen
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good, couple of bugs

Pros:
Counter depth--fills in the refrigerator nook nicely and doesn't come so far out into the room
Stainless finish stays clean and fingerprint-free
Flexible interior
Clean-tasting ice and water--ice doesn't get stale
Cons:
Temperature in refrigerator varies about 5 degrees top to bottom--meat/deli tray tends to freeze foods at warmest setting, while the top shelf gets a touch warm (about 45 degrees). This can be partially remedied by not putting the movable shelves all the way up to the top or all the way down to the bottom, and not blocking the vent at the left rear of the deli drawer.
Freezer is nice and cold, but don't set it below zero degrees or the water dispenser will freeze up; I fixed it by running it at +6 degrees for a week, and using a hair dryer on both sides (inside and outside) of the water dispenser until the ice plug popped out
Make sure you don't push items all the way back in the refrigerator, especially on the top shelf--or they will freeze and the shelves below will get too warm

My Electrolux appliance

We like it and enjoy it. we did have problem with the freezer size the handles (plastic ) tend to break if the drawer is heavy or not running smooth because some ice over the guides. Less than year need to change the item 2 from series # 4A94401351. very fragile parts inside
Difficult to clean if door is not open full

Very happy with it, have not had any of the issues described in those other reviews regarding tempature or ice problems. My only problem has been the quality of the plastic bins in the refrigerator door. They cracked and they are expensive to replace. Other than that, it has been trouble free.
I would recommend this to a friend!
