This product would be good if it worked

Got my DVD player it turns on great... Plays a DVD great.. Simple to hook it up by WI FI and it connects. great.. to bad it wouldn't go the rest of the way and actually work. It shows it connected but it will not connect to anything.. Not very impressed with this at all... Do your self a favour and don't get this.

Purchased in Canada ??

DVD and Blu-ray work well. We are in Canada, and can not access vudu and Pandora. You tube will not stream at all even after pausing and waiting for 5 minutes. We have tried hooking it up to the router directly but have had no success with faster streaming. Returning the Unit today for a better model that works in CANADA!!
Cons: does not work in canada

Fine if you have a new TV! Has a yellow video RCA cable but only an audio coaxial cable! What if your TV only has the white(left)and red(right) audio inputs! Also doesn't come with any cables.
Pros: price
Cons: no cables, no good for older tv audio

Very good device for the price

Until recently this player hasn't given me a lick of a problem. But now, it won't play Netflix. I don't know whether it is a software issue or a Netflix issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic but fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I see some pretty harsh reviews on this thing, but I've never had many issues with it. I've had mine for 2 or 3 years now and the biggest issue I've ever had is every now and then it won't turn off, so you have to unplug it. I got it from a friend. He couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work, but I've never had any problems with that for as long as I've had it. Netflix works ok on it, but all Netflix apps have problems in my experience. I don't really need it for Vudu, Picasa or Pandora, so I don't know how those perform on it. YouTube used to work ok, but they recently removed it from their devices list, but that's on them, not the player. It plays discs with no problems, USB is even easier. The main annoyance to me is that the remote controls don't always do what you want. You press up, it goes down. You press next, it stops, or rewinds. It doesn't do that constantly, but it does act up on occasion. I wish I could hook my surround sound to it, but I can't do that, so that's something to look out for if you want to do that. Other than that, it does most of what it's supposed to for me. It may vary by model, like anything else, but if it works for you like it has for me, I'd recommend it for an affordable and basic player.

Simple to use but not reliable

Purchased this blu-ray player in March of 2014...worked great..a little over two months later the picture would "freeze"...not all the time...on some DVD's it freezes...some blu-rays it sort of freezes, the picture will move , extremely , slow!!..only way to remedy this is to unplug and start over...and hope you make it through what you're watching....remote will not work nor the controls on the player..only unplugging resets it. Very frustrating...hopefully I can return it for an exchange?
Pros: light weight nice size
Cons: picture freezes on dvds and blu-rays

Intermittent Play

You get what you pay for I guess, Works good for a while then freezes. Video and sound not bad but Cannot get Netflix to play surround sound only plays in stereo . The Player does play both DVD and Blu-Ray In surround sound however . Tried all setting for audio. Nothing changes
