800 series compact condensation dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have the Bosch 800 series compact dryer stacked on top of the compact washer. The dryer works very well. It does take a little longer for clothes to dry than with previous dryers, but I assume this is because it is not vented to the outside. In cold weather it's great to capture some of the heat that would otherwise be lost to the outside with a vented dryer.

Washing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like that the dryer condensation compartment does not drain and I have to wipe it out each time I use it. Washing the unit is inconvenient and if I had known there was so much constant maintenance to using the dryer, we would not have purchased the unit. Otherwise, the unit dries as expected.

Overall A Great Dryer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this dryer for a few months now and it's excellent. The installation was straightforward. I really like the light and the fact that it warms up the room when drying (I have it in my bathroom so it's nice to have some warm air in there.) I also noticed a drop in my electricity bill after using it for over a month. My one complaint is it actually doesn't seem to dry clothes very well. No matter how many times I run my clothes through it they come out damp. It hasn't been an issue yet as it's winter, but we'll see what happens in the warmer months and if it becomes a problem.

Was okay while it lasted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the quiet operation, but it never got clothes all the way dry. We got used to them always being damp and we would just hang them out. Then after only 3 ish years it needs a new motor?? The service company says it likely has a bad ball bearing. So now instead of a lovely quiet operation it has a loud wheeze. I would recommend not buying this, go with the LG instead. We are not going to get this one repaired - and will but the LG instead - for about the same price they want to repair it. The other negative is that we have had an extremely hard time finding qualified repair people.

Dryer issues

1. Starting it takes MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS and TOO MUCH TIME! I touch it , it beeps, nothing starts...VERY FRUSTRATING
2. Nothing ever gets BONE DRY...the slightly damp is merely ok with clothes, but not acceptable with sheets and towels. ( I clean it out regularly)

Great dryer except...

Great Apartment Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little dryer for apartments that can't be vented. This is my second Bosch condensation dryer, and the 800 series only gets better. Love the redesigned, larger lint trap, and the reversible door. The new drying programs are spot on.
