We bought this dryer along with the 800 series washer. We love the size of the duo - it is perfect for our condo! This dryer is also suuuuper quiet - we are so happy to have replaced our old one. In addition, this Bosch truly showcases German engineering with lots and lots of options for all different purposes - I personally love how I can steam my business shirts in this dryer! on the other hand, you really need to know what setting you need or your clothes might be damped by end of the cycle. Overall, excellent dryer and highly recommended.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed yesterday but so far it is great. Lots of pre-programmed cycles for various fabrics and loads, but also optional changes. My first load of towels was not dry enough but I increased the dry level to 3 to take care of that so I am happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this dryer to match my 800 series Bosch Washer. It is a great dryer. Do keep in mind it is a ventless unit, they do take some getting use to its not like your mothers throw em in turn the knob and hit start kinda dryer--it is a different breed. Be sure to read the owners manual well because it will give you tips on how to get the best performance from your dryer. Clothes will not come out radiating heat and full of static as with a vented dryer. This dryer makes my clothes feel softer in my opinion. Be sure not to overload the dryer or your clothes will get wrinkled. When you first get the dryer you may be disappointed because even on "cotton extra dry" items will feel steamy when the cycle is done. The key is once you take clothes out of the dryer if you shake them out, once they hit the room temperature air they feel perfectly dry and wrinkle free. Again once you figure out what settings/options work best for you it will quickly become second nature. Its just where the dryer is ventless, but in my opinion ventless is better because it is more energy efficient. The lint filter is extremely easy to clean and the condenser is easy to access. Overall I love my Bosch 800 series washer and dryer. They are well made German appliances.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife used our new 800 series Bosch Dryer today for the first time. Love the size of the unit, how well built that it is, but it seems to take forever to dry the clothes. Even though we put the drying level to high, the clothes were still too damp, and we had to finish them up on timed dry.
First time for condensation type dryer. Bought as a set with matching washer. I've had Bosch laundry set before. You won't be disapointed! Only reason for not full 5 star rating is the delay start function. Too much math. Other than that it is totally awesome!
Like it's matching 800 series washer, we bought this Bosch 800 series drier after using one on vacation in the UK. We wanted a drier that would stack and be quiet in its operation and this certainly fits the bill. It was easy to install on top of the washer (with a fitting kit) and unlike the machine in the UK, this one condenses via a rubber tube to the waste water pipe used by the washer and doesn't need a vent to the outside. The drier was a wide range of programs and is exceptionally quiet in its operation. The condenser system does tend to fill our laundry room with hot air but the clothes are dried very effectively. A tip for other users is to take the clothes out at the end of a cycle and let them air for a few minutes; they can seem slightly damp when in the drier but exposed to the air they then dry in a minute or two. The first machine we had delivered had been a little damaged in transit, but worked perfectly. The replacement, undamaged, works just as well. We're very happy with our Bosch drier!
