Best camera I have ever owned. Works well in many shooting situations. Quality is perfect! I love this camera.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, Complicated controls/menu

Great Camera

This is my 3rd in the series of 1Ds bodies having started with the 1Ds then the 1DsII and now with the 1DsIII and soon the new 1DsIV. Just when getting you think they can't improve on the design Canon proves you wrong - they just keep getting better. This camera has gone to Alaska and back shooting landscape and nature in all types of weather and after well over 10k images still works as well today as it did when I first took it out of the box.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Superb professional performer

Perfect camera for historical architecture photography (in our case, Romanesque and Gothic churches in France and Spain). Highest quality 35mm DSLR coupled with L-series lenses (especially 17 and 24mm tilt-shift) means stunning images for print production. The build quality is unmatched in my experience, and the resultant weight of the camera is no issue since we shoot with tripods.

Hi-end pro in every respect. However, the buttons in the back are subject to wear and accumulated dirt. On next model instead of having select buttons next to the LCD screen eliminate them and use touch-screen selection like on iPhone. The entire EOS series could be made this way.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, sexy looks
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, expensive

THIS PRODUCT IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE USED I HAVENT SEEN VERY MANY CAMERAS THAT U COULD DROP BY ACSEDENT AND IT WORK LIKE A CHARM STILL GREAT PICTURE AWSOME PICTURE QUILITY STURDY GREAT FOR BIG GUYS WITH BIG HANDS AND ITS GOT ALOT OF COOL FEATURES WOULD OF BEEN NICE WITH LIVE VIEW FEATURE BUT DONT NEED THAT FEATURE PERFECT FOR THE PRO PHOTOGRAPHER AND GOOD FOR JUST A PERSON THAT WANTS TO TAKE PICTURES AS A HOBBY IM EXTREAMLY SATISFIED WITH THIS CAMERA AND I WILL BE FOR MANY YEARS FROM KNOW I ALSO LOVE ALL THE EXTRA PARTS AND LENSES AND STRAPS AND TRIPODS U CAN GET FOR IT VERY VERSITAL GREAT FOR EVERYDAY USE AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECAMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY ONE OF MY FRIENDS AND EVEN FAMILY MEMBERS.
