The EOS 1Ds3 is as well sealed as they say. Snow, rain, sleet, hail...finally had to dunk it in the river to mess it up. Ouch. Not on purpose. So now it is in the shop. But otherwise the best digital body I've ever used. I'd have more if they weren't so spendy. As backup for when I let my guard down resulting in a trip to Repair. Besides the great resolution, decent speed, low noise at high ISO, etc., one of the things I love about it is the "film-like" look it produces.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, good battery life

I really do love this camera..The images if taken in proper sunlight are outstanding. That being said, I will not use this body in any kind of low light situation..I'll use my mkiv..But side by side in nice sunlight their is no comparison. the 1ds is just lovely..The battery life is excellent. When I have this camera in my hands I find myself "looking" for the best possible shot..and shooting less frames overall, but wow!! the results are always so much more satisfying. What a camera!
Pros: good battery life, quiet, excellent image quality, Superior build quality

Recently upgraded from 1Ds to the 1Ds Mk III, I really love this camera. The larger screen (3" compared to 2"), the "mouse" button, the obvious picture quality. I have been using this camera to shoot HS wrestling, with a 70-200 2.8 lens, sometimes using a 2x converter. The pictures are usually very easy to process, depending on my skills. The build quality is great, the dust management system was one of the reasons I upgraded. I wish the ISO went higher like the 1D Mk III, but I realize my shooting so far isn't this camera's forte. Easy to manipulate the settings, fairly intuitive coming from the 1st Gen 1Ds. This was a very good investment in my opinion. Couldn't the LCD match the competitor regarding pixel count? The battery last a very long time, even with image stabilized lens.
Pros: excellent image quality, Solid Operation, good battery life

This is the best 1DS to date. I had owned the 1D and 1DS MII. This is by far the best so far. The camera is the perfect weight, great image quality, comfortable to hold, easy operation and the best battery life of all the models to date.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, live view

Excellent working speed with superb image Quality performance, not only is the 21.1 mega pixel a plus but the processing is greater than I could have imagined with the Dual Digic lll Processors as it will enrich your Photos. Being able to use CF or SD Memory cards and allowing you to use them at the same time, Canon has raised the Bar here, just make sure you have equal GB on both cards when using both. My belief is yes, you can take a good picture with a sheep camera but you can take a great picture with great Camera.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
