Ice maker needs fine tuning.

This refrigerator has ample room and great features all around with the exception of how the ice maker functions and where it is located. The ice maker is located on a sliding freezer top shelf, which in itself is not a problem as it is out of the way for loading the freezer compartment. The issue is that when the shelf is moved to get the ice, it topples ice cubes into the lower portion of the freezer from the ice bin. This occurs because the wire bail to stop or start the ice making process pushes the ice cubes from the top of the holding bin.
Granted this only occurs when the ice bin is full, but it is almost always full, that's how one would want it for use. Everything else about the design of the unit is well thought out, very useful and convenient. I realize that having one flaw does not make it a bad refrigerator, I just anticipate that since everything else was so well thought out that the ice maker should not have any issues, yet it does. A minor flaw really for a very good appliance.
The only other minor flaw is that if eggs are kept in the lower center drawer, which appears to be where they should be kept, both doors need to be opened to access this narrow drawer. I think that it might have been better to only have a single door required to be opened to not lose too much of the coldness within the unit. Minor though, very minor.

Don't buy!!!!

I received this refrigerator as a replacement for LFC25760SW. The first refrigerator was defective. The light stayed on while the doors was shut and could of easily caught our house on fire. This refrigerator LFC25770SW was the replacement and the thermistor went out and would not keep cold inside. That part is about $20 for other refrigerators but LG is not selling this part and don't make it anymore. So now I have a $1500 refrigerator that I cant use because LG will not continue to make a $20 part. This replacement is only 4 years old. Customer service basically told us it's out of warranty and nothing we can do. Please avoid any LG product.
Pros: nothing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A refrigerator to keep forever

I have never thought of appliances as anything but necessities until now. This refrigerator is a luxury to own. Easy on the eyes, easy to own and easy to use and clean.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, pull out refrigerator drawer, pullout tray in the freezer compartment., shelving options

By far, this is the best fridge I have ever owned. It is beautiful to look at and it has plenty of storage space. The interior design allows for easy organization.

Great Purchase at a Great Price

We have owned this refrigerator for about 4+ months now. My wife and I are extremely happy with it. We have had several refrigerators over the last 35 years of marriage and we both believe this was the BEST one yet!! Way to go LG....

very good refrigerator

The ice maker quit working after 3 months and when we called customer service, we got very prompt and friendly service. A service man was out in 3 days and they replaced the ice maker with out any hassels. We were impressed with the professionalism of the service department and service person that replaced the ice maker. Everything else has been great and it is nice to have a frig that full sheet cakes will fit in with ease.

Great Fridge

My wife and I purchased this refidgerator a month ago and it is evrything that she was looking for. Storage shelves on both doors are VERY convenient for a lot of things and it is so easy to see what you have on the regular shelves.
The freezer is very easy to access and you can see virtually all the items in there. We have had a number of refridgerators in our lives and this is the best one we have ever had. We would recommend it to anyone lookin for this type of refridgerator.

Great Replacement

Great replacement for a very old unit. More space, more features, more everything. Shelves are easily adaptable. Cant wait for the first electric bill.
I do wonder if the light can be retro-fitted with LED lighting??
