Canon Rebel XSi

I bought this camera for my thirteen year old daughter as her first professional camera and she loves it!!! if your looking for an action camera. this is the camera for you. my daughter is a big horseback rider and the pictures always turn out crisp and beatiful. the only problems is inside pictures blur. an additional flash reduces that but its at the cost of an expensive flash. this is an easy to use camera and it is great for all professions.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, great action photos
Cons: Missing features/settings, bad indoor lighting results

I've only had my Rebel XSi for a short time now, but I absolutely love this camera. I was a "diehard" and hated to give up my 35mm film camera, but now I can't understand why I waited so long. The XSi is easy to use and offers every option available to give me full comtrol of the camera. I'm learning new things about this camera each day and I haven't even come close to learning it's full capability. I purchased additional lens (18-270mm; wide angle, fisheye, etc.) at the same time I bought the camera and I'm trying to find time to use them all. Leaving for Jamaica later this week for vacation and look forward to taking many great photos during the vacation. Again, this camera is FANTASTIC!
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, easy to use
Cons: none

I haven't had an EOS type camera for many years and decided to make the jump because I found that I was needing more wide angle and telephoto shots. This camera rocks! My learning curve is or will be a little longer to figure out everything it will do but I look forward to it. Very light and easy to operate. I am used to seeing the image on the LCD before I shoot, so that is a little difficult for me, I wish it had that feature. Otherwise an outstanding camera.

I bought this camera about 8 months ago and love it. I have taken over 8000 pics with it on only a few battery charges. (which is great). Takes great pics in lower light without a flash. When used with the EF-S lens it is easy to take steady pics at slow shutter speeds.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: noisy

After using this camera for almost a year I've very pleased with its image quality, quick response, and reliability. I actually consider the fact the this camera does not have video recording capiblities a plus. It makes the complexity of learning and using this model easier. There is only one change I can offer to canon to make this model better. And that would be to place the play and delete buttons above the display where the menu and disp buttons currently are, and to replace the play and delete buttons current locations with the menu and display buttons. (ie: swap locations)
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, no video

Extremely Versatile Camera

This camera did provide the perfect balance for what I was looking for. Everything from aperture to iso to shutterspeed can be controlled through one knob. Plus it actually gets extremely good exposures in low lighting.
Personally I do not use autofocus so I would not be able to comment on that however I garauntee you that if you are looking to manually adjust everything about an image to fit your own photography style, you'll be able to with ease with this camera.
Plus there are lenses outside of the cannon brand that are compatible with this camera. I can still use some of my old sigma lenses with this camera body.
Pros: excellent image quality, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life

I new to the world of DSLR and I just love my Canon EOS Rebel XSi. I can't put it down. It is so easy to use and with it, I'm quickly learning how to venture away from the auto setting. I can't believe I ever lived without it.
