Great Camera

I absolutely love this camera. This is my first SLR camera and I have learned so much experimenting with it. I am amazed at the quality of photos that even a novice like myself can obtain with it. Very user friendly. Only thing it is missing in my opinion is not video capable.
Pros: ease of operation, versitility, quality of photos
Cons: no video mode

We've owned Canon products for the last 10 years and the Canon EOS XSI is by far the best Canon we've ever owned. We are so happy with our purchase.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life

I love this camera

I have owned the XSi for about 11 months. I hadn't picked up an SLR since I stopped using my 35mm about 5 years ago in favor of the convenience and cost benefits of a small Canon point-and-shoot. With the XSi, I've rediscovered the joy of taking pictures. This is a phenomenal little camera. It's light enough and small enough to take anywhere, takes fantastic pictures and has amazing software and controls. No need to buy Photoshop! I only wish the ISO went higher than 1600 and that the Live View was easier to use.
Pros: excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: iso taps out at 1600, live view not so great.

You Wont be Disappointed

My first Digital slr, and am so glad i purchased this one. The Customer Support is top notch, especially when your a beginner you need a little help and my e-mails were answered quite rapidly. Have been able to capture my kids sporting activities, which range from soccer, swimming, water polo and of course all of the school activities. The speed when there running or swimming has not been one problem to capture and with burst speed i capture all of those moments. The 8gb is great also.

Great camera

I am in love with this camera. The best feature is the 'Live View' which was missing on my last Canon SLR camera. I didn't think much of it at first (I bought the camera since I dropped my old SLR while taking pictures while rock climbing), but once I realized that the LCD Live View will update itself while you are changing aperture, shutter speed, etc. - I fell in love with the feature. I still have to 'frame' shots, since you are only looking at a 3.0" LCD, but it really gives you a good idea of what you are doing when it comes to changing the options. This makes this camera a terrific learning camera for amateur SLR owners like myself for on the fly learning!
It also seems to be very sturdy on the two camping trips I have brought it on.

Low $$$ for BIG Pro quality!

This is a GREAT first camera for selling stock images. If you learn how to set the camera right and use a better lens plus a tripod. The images quality will be approved with this camera.
I am trilled with Canon. Love the precise menu options and sharp upgrade lens. I am now going to upgrade to the 7D, only because I need the Hi Def video feature for stock video.
