If you haven't already done so, try shutting off the circuit breaker that provides electricity to your appliance or unplug it. Leave the power off for a minute or two before restoring it. Better get the extended warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator to match our range. We were not able to see this item in any store and we went to everyone within a 10 mi radius or called to see if they had this model in their showroom. This is a huge mistake not to show this model anywhere except online. GE needs to do a better job of describing the interior and SHOW pictures of both refrig & freezer sides. This is counterdepth, but the shelves are very shallow, esp the freezer. There probably doesn't need to be so much room taken up by icemaker and other mechanics in the back of the refrigerator. Perhaps some of this could be at the bottom or top, giving more depth to the shelves. Also the express chill drawer is diffficult to line up the swing locks to pull out or replace the drawer. I use it for more storage area. It looks nice, but is definitely smaller in capacity than my previous refrig (20 yrs) which was smaller in size & capacity but larger on the inside. In this day & age, GE could do a better job with space arrangement & cut the cost. It is overpriced for it's capacity, stainless steel or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator to match the other GE Cafe appliances we were installing in our remodeled kitchen. It does make quite a bit of noise (clicking, etc) but it is only noticeable if you are in the kitchen and we have gotten used to it. The extra features like quick ice and express chill work well and come in handy. There isn't as much interior space as our old fridge, but we expected this being a counter depth. It really looks nice and the stainless is high quality and easy to keep clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this refrigerator. My only complaint is the freezer door baskets are very stiff. No, I don't want the items in the basket to fall out, but I don't want to scrape the side of the door each time I move the basket.

We purchased this refrigerator as part of the whole suite of Cafe products. We needed counter depth, which it is, and also liked the overall look and features. The unit is easy to clean, both inside and out, and the drawers and shelves are convenient. The quirky comment comes from the noises of the ice maker, which range from random clicking to gurgling. The ice maker also is slow to produce, hangs up quite a bit, and sometimes takes too long to deliver ice through the dispenser. As with most other side-by-sides, a second refrigerator/freezer is almost a necessity, especially if you like to entertain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went from an old (20+ years) side-by-side to this refrigerator one month ago. Went with the whole Cafe line and wanted a counter-depth fridge so the choice was easy. Yes, the shelves felt small at first, but there is so much room on the doors that once we got organized we really started taking advantage of the space this offers.
The Cafe line is so stylish, we're getting a lot of compliments simply on the look!
