Faulty frig

We've had this frig for 5 years and already its broken. The frig and freezer both not cooling.

Died after only 5 years!

We bought this expensive refrigerator which apparently has a problem with the evaporators after only five years! The repairman said: "I have many, many years of servicing GE refrigerators and this is only the second time that I have had to walk away from a repair job.". This was an expensive refrigerator and after spending a lot of money to buy it we shouldn't have to spend a fortune to repair it or worse yet, have to replace it!! Very, very upset!

This product has great features and I love the way it looks in my kitchen but it has serious issues with the performance.

This refrigerator is very noisy with clicks, pops and gurgling. It sounds like it is snoring and when my 13 year old daughter had a sleep over with friends in our den, the noises woke the girls up from their sleep. When watching TV in the den at night and the refrigerator starts making its noises, you have to turn the TV up to hear it. My 20 year old refrigerator that I gave away was quieter than this one. Also, the inside of the refrigerator is as clean as the day we got it but we have had issues with an odor in it that we can not identify. We also had a problem with the refrigerator not maintaining its temperature. The freon ended up leaking out and we had to have it fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refrigerator looks awesome in our new house.  We love the sleek handles and stainless steel sides!  It is close to impossible to find a refrigerator with stainless steel sides (we looked at kitchen aide, jenn aire, viking) and only this refrigerator came with the stainless steel sides.  The performance is great; we have had GE products in the past and have always been impressed with performance.  Thanks GE!!

Ice maker such a disappointment

Our family loves ice. We are so disappointed in the ice maker. 1st, the ice maker is tilted so the ice has to travel against gravity to make it's way thru the dispenser. 2nd, the ice maker makes ice very slowly & it's not intuitive to make ice on it's own (again because it's tilted) we have to physically pull the ice maker out and forward, shifting the ice forward, so the sensors will allow it to make more ice. Finally, the dispensing of ice is very slow.

Owned this refrigerator little over 5 years and during the past couple of years had water collecting under the bottom bin. Several attempts to fix the problem failed and it is deemed unfixable. Such a disappointment.

Great Refridge

My wife and I bought this refrigerator for our newly remodeled kitchen. Loved the style, loved the counter-depth and size worked for our family which is getting smaller since our children are moving on. Only downfall, after one week of having the refrigerator installed, the ice machine maker brackets had broken, so now our ice machine is out of commission until we can get resolution on repairs. Not sure if the brackets were broke prior to installation or during installation. My wife and I didn't think to check the ice machine brackets on arrival. Used the ice machine twice and noticed something was not quite right. Hoping GE can help!

Worst Fridge EVER

We bought this fridge 5 years ago when we redid our kitchen. Got all Monogram appliances except for the fridge as I didn't want that big of a refrigerator. The Café line could have matching handles to the Monogram appliances so I was sold. This fridge has had problems from day one. Noisy, ice machine wasn't working right and was replaced. Then the coils all froze up and the thermistor was replaced. The compressor was just replaced a month ago and has blown again. Thank goodness we bought an extended warranty. You would think that they would want to just replace it instead of replacing a compressor/month....
Previously, we had a GE Profile that was the best fridge ever. It is still happily running at my brother-in-laws house.
