I bought a set of two Diamond Clean brushes and they both stopped working within 18 months of purchase, due to issues with the battery. By comparison, my previous electric toothbrush lasted over 8 years.
While the brushes were working, they were great to use. Teeth and gums felt clean, and I liked the shape of the toothbrush head.
Pros: teeth feel clean, different brush modes
Cons: product does not last. 18m life for two brushes

i knew through the years that they were supposed to be good, but couldn't justify the cost, but after having one, i don't know how i did without it. the best i have ever had.
Pros: like being able to change the settings
Cons: sanitizing bulb didn't last long

This product has made a real difference in the health of my gums

After using this product for many years, I am totally convinced that it has greatly improved the health of my gums. I wish I had started using it before I had developed a lot of problems and lost a number of my teeth, but at least it has stopped this problem and allowed me to maintain those that are left.
The older design of this product was larger but stronger, and it lasted until the battery finally wore out. The newer design is more compact for traveling, but you must be careful not to use too much pressure on the brush, or it will eventually fail. This failure mode has caused me to have to replace these units about once a year. Still would not be without it!

Broke after 1 year of use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this one as a gift, and I loved it a lot. However it started turning itself on at random times, in the middle of the night, and would not turn off or turn on when I want to use it - so basically I can't use it anymore.
Pros: does a good job at cleaning the teeth
Cons: does not last
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the new replacement heads!!

I have had the same sonicare toothbrush for over 12 years. It's hard to believe it's lasted this long. I love the new style replacement heads. The slimmer design allows for me to brush clear behind my back teeth. I was amazed that the new style brush fits my old toothbrush. Usually when companies update their products they discontinue the old product so you have to purchase the new product. Hopefully I will be using this toothbrush for another dozen years, but if not I would purchase this product again! Great job Phillips!

Cleans teeth real well. It does what is advertised to do. However, they are made to last 9 months tops. Quality is horrific. If I could get two years out of them before they broke, I could justify it. Too bad that is not the case. My 3rd just broke...looking for another brand.
Pros: cleans teeth well
Cons: made like garbage

Doesn't last beyond 3 years

My husband and I both bought our Sonicare toothbrushes 3 years ago, just yesterday my toothbrush started malfunctioning, turning on several times a night and not being able to turn it off, very frustrating especially at 3 in the morning. I stuck it on the charger and then it began to buzz 3 times in a row repeatedly and didn't stop, I had to finally after the 3rd time in the middle of the night bring it out to the garage. For the amount of money we paid I expected it to last beyond 3 years. Very disappointing and I don't know if I will be replacing it with Philips, might try another brand.
Pros: does the job
Cons: battery life horrible
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only lasted 1 year..

I purchased a brand new Philips Sonicare HX6932/10 FlexCare toothbrush last year and really surprised that the Sonicare only lasted me 1 year! Initially, I was so happy with my Sonicare toothbrush that I purchased one for my wife as a birthday gift earlier this year. My toothbrush has been working great, especially since I took great care of it. However, for some reason earlier this morning, the toothbrush would not turn on. I charged the toothbrush all day, it turned on for 15 seconds and now it no longer works. All in all, I'm disappointed that I paid alot for a toothbrush that only lasted me 1 year..
Cons: short lifespan, travel case is bulky
