I bought this t.v. back in March, just in time for the March Madness of NCAA basketball. The picture quality is superb and the sound is just fine, although I did purchase a sound bar and play movies and sports through that to enhance the viewing experience. Although this model is now discontinued, should you find it on closeout somewhere, I would highly recommend it. I purchased it through Amazon and haven't regretted it one bit. What a value!!!

Have 46 in Samsung LCD. Love it. Needed 2nd tv. Bought this 50in plasma for the price and quality even though it is being phased out. Hoping to buy LED in 2 years so this is perfect until then. Works perfect with DTV HD-DVR and HTS sound system and blu ray 1250. Couldn't resist this quality at this price. Love it
