This was the smartest purchase made to date. Comsumer rated this # 1 for my needs and they were spot on with their evaluation. The features are awesome. I never knew what I was missing, but I'll never settle for any thing less than what I can get with Samsung. Installation was so easy I thought I must have missed something. I even attached the accessories without a problem. WOW!! Finally a company that understands that I don't have to have a computer or engineering degree to install their product. Thank you!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good enough to show the faults in broadband cable. Only a Blu-Ray disc/player encoded, played and displayed in 24 fps ( film mode ) can properly show the full performance of the set. It's much better than the minimum requirement for standard HDTV program material ( broadband cable HDTV programming ).
I have noticed though that over time the set has developed some subtle vert. & horiz. banding not related to ' image retention ', which can't be removed with the set's 'white screen' type features. It's not easily visible unless the set isn't playing source material. I've always used ' pixel orbiting ' as much as possible.
Improvements: well I'd like to see more discrete levels or precision in the levels of brightness and color ( banding artifacts ), and some kind of post processing to make older program material such as classic movies ( Turner Classic Movies ) have the appearance of being sharper than they otherwise might be, ( without any additional, undesirable artifacts ). A better digital noise filter for sub-optimal digitization ( or low bandwidth optimized ) programming might help too.
How about a firmware update to show the 1080 progressive ( ' p ' ), instead of just 1080i ( interlaced ) ?
