You don't need to read my opinion, read the March, 2009 issue. They rate this model as one of the best tested. And it is!

This is the first HD/Plasma I've ever owned, and it has totally lived up to my expectations. The colors are great, the picture is amazing, and the extra HDMI outputs are great to have. I did a lot of research on these TVs before I decided to purchase this one a few months back, and for the price, it beat down the competition, hands-down.
The only slight knock I have on this TV is the sound - it sounds a bit too "tinny" to me, but whatever, the picture more than makes up for it and the sound issue is only noticeable once you've had the TV for awhile, and even then it isn't a big deal at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I did a lot of research and kept finding Samsung at the top.
Got a great value at Sears and connected through Verizon FIOS......easy set up, fantastic picture and sound right out of the box.
Also got a simple up-convert DVD player....the TV finds it when the disk is loaded and gives a great picture.
Looking forward to the Super Bowl....and many years of outstanding television viewing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this tv and the Samsung HT-BD2E Blue-ray home theater system together, and I'am sure glad I got this combo!!
I did my research on getting a lcd or plasma tv for about six months, to get the right tv and price for my living room. I have to say I made a really really great choice. I have a somewhat dark room with high ceilings, so the home theater and the tv works great in that room. I only thing I didn't like is the tv sound without the surround sound is not the best. It's pretty good by it self but could be better.

I bought this tv about 6 months ago and it is great!! I done a lot of homework before i purchased one and it has lived up to my expectations. The picture is very good and i havent had any problems with it.

I have this TV for about 1 year now and I have recommended it to two friends already, very high quality video, day or night, no trouble with reflections. Works great with Samsung blu ray player, you just insert the DVD and it will automatically turn on the TV and start rolling the DVD (takes about 1 minute for the process to happen though). Just connected my PC, took me a little to get it going but it just looks fabulous (seems to work only at certain specific resolutions, otherwise it will not display the PC's screen).
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my second plasma TV and it is fantastic.
I write this review to alert buyers who may be radio amateurs that all plasma TVs emit wideband noise in the HF spectrum.
This has not lessened my enjoyment of the TV.

spent bout 1.5 years wanting a plasma tv. looked at pioneer but i couldnt pass up the 550. theres nothing to say but if you didnt buy 1 then do it because nothing compares to it for the price. picture awsome, set up easy,manual pretty simple, looks are great. i would buy it again and again against any brand or platform....
