Just Doesn't Last Like It Should

I am on my second Architect Series II microwave after having so many issues with our first that it had to be replaced. I have had the second microwave repaired once already and it just stopped heating food the other day. I have been very happy with our other Architect Series appliances but very disappointed with this one. I feel like it should last longer. Model: KCMS2055SSS-2
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door does not open. Less than 4 years.

Door could not open today. Managed to open the control panel, seeing the plastic latch is broken. Can not find the part online. Guess have to buy a new one. Less than 4 years. Have had expected much longer. So sad. model: KCMS2055SSS-2 Serial: FG15013265

Short life, poor quality.

Microwave stopped working after only a few years for no reason. My previous microwave lasted 20. Very disappointed with the quality of this product.

Died after a few years use...

We bought this house when it was a year old in 2013. The microwave worked OK until it just "died"... Our whole kitchen is Kitchenaid: dishwasher, stove, and oven. This is very disappointing as we would have expected more from this brand and level of appliance.

Similar to others... unacceptably short lifespan

Very similar experience as explained by other reviewers. Only got about 5 years of use out of product and last year was pretty shaky. Expected a lot more from Kitchenaid brand. Other Kitchenaid appliances are performing well.

Horrible, a microwave should not die this quickly

This was an expensive microwave. It should not have died so quickly, my aunt has a microwave is 30 years old and runs fine. Not good.

Frustrated!!

We moved in 2 years ago and loved all the appliances.. all kitchen aid products. The microwave push button has stopped working!! I don’t know how to fix and can’t afford a new microwave!! This is very frustrating because we use it everyday!!!

Disappointed!

We built 7 years ago and all appliances are KitchenAid...now our microwave has decided to stop heating...very disappointing, I was expecting the microwave to last longer then 7 years. When spending the extra money on KitchenAid, I was thinking they were a higher quality product...I guess they don't make appliances like they used to.
