Got this camera for christmas and totally enjoy it, very easy to use, fanastic pictures, so many awesome features on it, plus easy to download on my computer and share with family, the pictures are clear, and crisp the colors are eye-popping, what i real like is when you take the picture and if you dont like it you can erase it and re-do it, all i can say is awesome camera, yet my two other sisters have one and they just rave about it and how great the camera is, plus its so light and compact just love it, i carry it in my purse all time and when i want to take a picture its ready to go, thank you for a awesome, cool great camera.

I have recently purchased this camera, after switching from a sony (dsc s780) and have found the features and quality outstanding for the price of the camera. I've been looking for a camera that has manual settings for aperature and shutter speed controls, as I enjoy slowing shots down, especially when my pool team goes out! I do want to upgrade to an SLR in the near future, and canon is looking mighty impressive right now
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

I am a professional photographer making a living with my Canon EOS system cameras and lens, but what could I do when I had an assignment in France two months after shoulder replacement surgery.
I knew I couldn't haul my camera bag with me much less operate my cameras. To solve this problem I purchased the Canon A590 point-n-shoot camera. I selected it because I could hold it to my eye, like a 35 MM, not have to hoild it in front of me with one arm trying to see the LCD screen. This was, and is, important to eliminate shake.
My client asked me about it and I told him he would love the results and it would give him a fresh look at Provence. He was happy and paid me before I left his office the day of the shoot.
I then took three weeks just wandering with my wife through Provence. I loved every minute of it. He also bought several of the shots I took on my own time.
Pros: easy to use, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

I received this camera as a gift. I did alittle research and it seemed to have what I was looking for. I took a photography class and the instructor (a professional photographer) said I had a "best buy". He said it was a very good camera for the price and had some very good features.

Fantastic Camera

I bought this camera in late November after i went to the beach a few times and enjoyed taking pictures with my mom's digital camera. The problem was that that camera lacked a lot of options for creativity so i decided to ask for an early xmas gift. I looked around to see what camera was the best bang for the buck and discovered the A590is. Let me tell you i was not let down with that purchase. My first own personal digital camera and im in love with it already. It has plenty of modes, i mainly use the Manual controls, but sometimes use the Beach scene . The Megapixel amount is just alright for me as i dont have a need for gigantic images...yet. 4x zoom is great, better than the 3x zoom on my moms camera, and also the fact that you can addon a lense for macro, tele and wideangle photos just makes it better better. If anyone asked me to recommend a nice cheap creative camera, i would surely recommend them the Canon A590IS
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, can attach an extra lens
Cons: Dim LCD, slowdowns at times
I would recommend this to a friend!
