Hate this refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator less the a month ago and I have literally lost sleep over it. The store my husband and I purchased from didn't have what we wanted in stock so they gave us this GE Appliance Catalog to look at and we order from the catalog. When it came they brought to the house and installed it. I am totally disappointed in most the features and designed. There is no freezer light. The temperature control hangs to low into the refrigerator section. There is not much room for items with height. I am 5' 4" with a condition called cervical spondolosis which effects my neck and shoulder area when look in the refrigerator for items on the top shelf I have to pretty much lean my head into the refrigerator to find what I want and when I get ready to stand back up I have bumped my head on the freezer door handle. The glass shelves have a glare & sometime a reach in on one shelf for container only to discover the item is on the next shelf. I removed the butter tray or maybe it's the egg tray that sits above the top side shelf to make more room for items with height like 2 liter drink bottles. It's my worst refrigerator "nightmare" if I could afford to purchase another refrigerator I would--so I'm stuck with this one. I will never buy any appliance again unless I am actually able to check it out in person.

Very nice fridge

This fridge works well in our kitchen, and fits into the space we needed it to fit into. The only moment I have is that the door pockets are a bit wide, and so the door will not close if things on the shelves are too close to the front.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful on the outside and okay the inside.

Just bought this refrigerator and it is beautiful but is lacking in some features that I thought were standard but it turns out they aren't. It is very quiet, which is a nice change from our old fridge. It does its job, keeps things cold in the refrigerator part and frozen in the freezer. It doesn't however have a light in the freezer, nor does it have a plastic cover over the light bulb in the refrigerator. Don't lift your jelly jar too high or too fast or you will break the bulb. There are also not enough options as far as shelf height.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Short interior refrigerator area

In order to get anything out of the refrigerator-part of the appliance, I need to bend over and reach in (I am only 5'2'' tall) because the freezer-part dips so deep into the
refrigerator part of the appliance. Also, the vegetable bins at the bottom are very large and take up MORE space from the "refrigerator" area. Lastly, the shelf going over from the meat tender drawer goes all the way over to the opposite wall of the refrigerator which means you can't put any tall things on any of the unmoveable shelves, like a defrosting turkey or a couple of bottles of wine.

Great overall refrigerator

This refrigerator and freezer compartments have worked great since the unit arrived 2 months ago. The ice maker is terrific and easy to turn off when I'm not using a lot of ice. The black color / finish is impressive too.

I'm tall, and bending and reaching for stuff everythiime I open the refrigerator door quickly got old, like 2 days. Never again. Hope I can get a refund/trade in for a French door model. I hope.
