Nice but messy

Just got this refrigerator and it's great except for how the crushed ice tends to spray. Makes a bit of a mess regardless of what container is used. Maybe it is because it is new and this is the first bin of ice?

The unit is about 2 months old and I have had numerous parts replaced include a new freezer door. The unit is noisy and I am still not sure that it is truly working properly given the mount of frost build up there is in the freezer section.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The noises this fridge makes are horrible. And the excuse that its due to the government regulations is a joke.. I have never heard another fridge do this and wish I could afford to replace. Sadly I didn't choose this particular fridge it was part of our new construction package. Builder uses all GE products :(

Great simple fridge

The fridge works well and have had no issues in the first 3 months of ownership. Fridge and freezer keep even temperatures in the unit. Ice maker and water dispenser work well.

Great...but the handles

Came with the house. Loved the fridge until day 3 after move-in the handle broke off when I tried to open the door. Luckily I registered appliances on day 1.
