Nice tall height when raised works much better than older fan we had. High quality construction with smooth up and down movement. Fan is loud on high, but any model of downdraft is equally as loud. On lower speeds much quieter, but still works to remove steam when boiling.
Excellent performance for a downdraft. Difficult to install and align with a cooktop. Trim surface mars easily. Trim caps don't install well and look right
nice looking item, easy to install, I have it installed but have not moved in new home yet, for now it goes all the way up and drops about 1 inch and works fine !! but to get it to go down you have to push button twice more, I am thinking quality control at factory, surely they make sure it works before leaving or else something happened to it in transit, gonna contact jenn air once I move in for repair ' More latere

Received the wrong 6" diameter vent transition w/damper in a factory sealed box. Not even close to a fit. Not sure how someone places an item in a box and can't tell by looking at the unit, its the wrong size.... This set my schedule back about 7 days, I should request Jenn Air pay for the delay with my contractors!! Not cool. Should have opened the box at the store....
Installation was more difficult than expected as the unit is quite heavy. This unit provides adequate ventilation. It raises / lowers very smoothly and is easy to clean. The highest fan setting produces more noise than we had hoped, but as mentioned earlier, the ventilation provided is very good.
We purchased this to go along with our Jenn-Air 5 burner cooking unit for an upgrade of our kitchen. The two are perfectly matched. the new look, with our other new appliances turned out even better than we had anticipated. Very pleased.
