This was installed along with our new stovetop as part of our kitchen remodel. I like the way it raises up at the touch of a button on top. the fan is adjustable with the controls on the side. It is noisy when the fan is on full blast. My husband has twice mistakenly put the device down while the fan was still running and the fan does not go off automatically when that happens. I would recommend this to someone who needed a downdraft instead of a ceiling fan/hood, if they were getting the Jenn-Air stove top because they fit together.
This was installed last month. We like the operation and looks of the unit. When running tho it whistles which is annoying the say the least. I think the air vents may not be machined incorrectly
Excellent performance for a downdraft. Difficult to install and align with a cooktop. Trim surface mars easily. Trim caps don't install well and look right
Wrong part sent from Factory for a 36" downdraft fan

Received the wrong 6" diameter vent transition w/damper in a factory sealed box. Not even close to a fit. Not sure how someone places an item in a box and can't tell by looking at the unit, its the wrong size.... This set my schedule back about 7 days, I should request Jenn Air pay for the delay with my contractors!! Not cool. Should have opened the box at the store....
Installation was more difficult than expected as the unit is quite heavy. This unit provides adequate ventilation. It raises / lowers very smoothly and is easy to clean. The highest fan setting produces more noise than we had hoped, but as mentioned earlier, the ventilation provided is very good.
Broken out of the box before I even used it. Don't buy it!

We recently remodeled our kitchen and purchased the Jenn-Air pop up to go with our new Wolf cooktop. When the installer installed both pieces, the Jenn-Air pop up didn't work. We had to then go through the hassle of a 3-week process of talking to the dealer where we bought it, go through the process of having a repair man come and look at it, and then come back over a week later and replace the motor--ON A BRAND NEW APPLIANCE!!! This has been a frustrating, ridiculous, aggravating experience. I don't think it is too much to ask that a brand new, out of the box Jenn-Air appliance would ACTUALLY WORK! Clearly, Jenn-Air does not have any quality control if a brand new appliance needs a new motor. Jenn- Air should have replaced this clearly faulty appliance rather than make us go through this hassle. Also, no one from Jenn-Air ever contacted me regarding this. Now I have no idea if this appliance with ever work properly, or continue to be a Lemon". There needs to be "lemon laws" to protect consumers from faulty appliances like this one.
