Beautiful dishwasher

If it was a car I would compare this dishwasher to Alfa Romeo, loved for it's beauty while working, hated for unreliability while broken. It is beautiful with a blue light at the end of wash and nice colorful display. My wife fell in love with it and I had to buy it disregarding it is not worth its high price.
It does not wash dishes any better than old dishwasher it replaced, which was five times less. Old dishwasher was 14 years old and running reliably. We replaced it for not great looks. This Electrolux had some issues with display after less than 3 years of light use and died at young age of 3 years and 8 months. I did not get what I paid for.

endless problems

I purchased this dishwasher 2 years ago and it has been endless problems. At least once a month, the electrical board reads error (all the lights blink) and it will not operate. Some times, I can unplug the dishwasher and, if I leave it unplugged for a long time, it will reset. Other times, it will not reset and I have to call for service (which always takes days before they can come and is EXPENSIVE). I have had it now and will replace this machine rather than keep servicing it. I am so angry--this was supposed to be a top quality machine and very quiet. Well it is quiet--actually silent most of the time because it does not work! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

Not so good

This dishwasher looks good. Large capacity and all the bells and whistles, but it breaks....a lot. Many error codes that you can't fix yourself and expensive repairs. We will have to replace soon even though it was fixed under warranty....it keeps displaying error codes. Not happy .

Could not be happier with our Electrolux Dishwasher. Completely reliable, wonderful features, beautiful to look at, easy to take care of, quiet operation and cleans extremely well. The best dishwasher we have ever owned.

All I can say is that besides the beautiful styling, excellent noise control and nice features, this unit really didn't do a very good job at cleaning my dishes over the past 5 years... and now the pump has gone. Decided not to repair or replace it with the same model because I expect longer than 5 years for this kind of money. I also had issues with their very expensive refrigerator as well as their double oven, so I don't think I am being overly wary when I say I'm buying a Bosch today despite the fact that it won't match as nicely with the remainder of my appliances. And I will follow suit with each of these appliances when they kick the bucket, too.

good dishwasher

Bought this dishwasher after reading some bad reviews. had one problem with a seal,and and AAA appliance came very fast and fixed it.I am very happy with dishwasher,very quiet hard to hear it running,gets all dishes VERY CLEAN,l like the way you can adjust the racks

You must pre- rinse!

I'm on my 3rd of this model. The first two were lemons and one was replaced after 8 weeks and the second replaced after 4 months. The third one has been working for 4 1/2 years now. I just purchased an extended warranty and am glad that I did. The open shut switch had to be replaced because the seal doesn't work well and allows food residue to get into door and clog the switch. The open shut switch got stuck and the machine would not run. It' was replaced under the extended warranty and works again.
The big issue with this machine is that it just doesn't clean very well. You have to wash all food off of dishes before loading and scrub anything that is dried at all off before putting it into the machine. You need to prewash every item. The top rack has to be loaded with spaces in between the items or it doesn't get clean and I have no idea how it happens but you have to check inside the glasses after each load because many times they have crusty food residue in the bottom after machine is done. They are cleaner when they go in than when they come out.
I wouldn't buy this one machine again.
