Two towels and it walks across the room. A POOR Machine for the price. I despise it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I performed research on the largest wash load stackable units, looked for the best reviews. Since we have had the unit, it intermittently stops in the wash cycle (pauses) and you must initiate the push button (Play symbol) to restart. Now 4 months in, the dryer unit has stop heating and drying (takes 120 minutes to dry one queen sized linned bed sheet. Call for warranty repair and the earliest they could get to it was 4 days from the call. I guess we shall see if GE truly stands behind their product. Stay tuned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good size washer & dryer combo but runs loud and washer rinse & spin cycles seem to run longer than most. Also makes strange knocking sound when switching between washing cycles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit seems to function as designed with clear/easy button labels with almost unlimited options. Found the electrical connection box poorly placed and with limited side cable access, No light in the dryer or buzzer when load completed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is worth the money. Washer and dryer both have large capacity, which saves time and money! Quiet running unit except for the smal grinding noise of the self adjusting cycle part of washer.

Perfect for apartment living!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We spent a LOT of time and energy trying to find the perfect stackable unit for our apartment. We purchased one set, only to have it delivered, installed, and then not fit in the utility closet we have. This unit worked perfectly for us for one huge reason -- you can move the dryer vent to the side of unit rather than having to vent it out the back. This is the only way the unit would fit in our space. You WILL need to add an extra 4 inches to the side (if venting out the side) or the back (if venting out the back) when taking your measurements. There is no way around this.
In terms of the performance of the unit, we have been really pleased. The washer basin is bigger than many stackable units we looked at and I can easily wash a large load of towels in it (two weeks worth of towels for two people fits fine). Everything comes out clean using All detergent. We have noticed that the dryer is not as big as it seems -- the large load of towels I mentioned really fills the dryer all the way up, but it's fine. The different settings are really nice, and I like the "top cold" option because I know we're not using more energy to cool the water.
A lot of people have mentioned that it is loud...it's not the most quiet unit in the world, but it's nothing drastic either. The noise level doesn't bother us. I'll take the noise over having to walk through the snow to use our apartment's laundry facility.
Overall, I think this is a great unit. We sprung for the extended warranty just in case something goes wrong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many others who buy a uni-unit, we have limited space to deal with. We went back and forth with this unit versus separate front loaders. In the end we stuck with the uni unit, primarily because of the convenience of a top loader (you have to stoop down for a stackable front loader) and the fact that the extended warranty was much cheaper than buying two separate units. One aspect I was not aware of until I examined this review section is that this unit apparently is energy star compliant.
