[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've read reviews on many the washer/dryer systems, and was hesitant to buy a larger one, but this 3.4 cu ft. stainless steel basin, electric washer and dryer are great. It is so big I can do two loads at once, compared to my old 2.1 cu ft. w/d. It washes clothes clean and I have no problem with clothes getting tangled. Sure, it whips them around, but trousers don't tangle, only closed bras. So don't close them. The dryer is amazing. The clothes come out so dry so quickly because of the wonderful spinning cycle of the washer. I love this unit! So glad I got it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A SERIOUSLY FLAWED MACHINE

This machine not only leaves clothes unusually wrickled, but also leaves black marks on the clean clothes in the dryer. Seems to be some type of residual drum lubricant- a problem that cannot be rectified. A brand new replacement machine now does the exact same thing leaving black marks on the clothing. I would not recommend this machine.

Great Space Saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit last October and in February the motor went out. We are only a family of 2 so do not believe it was overworked. Service was excellent (next day) and no hastles on warranty. I think most people try to cram as much as you can get in it because it's a medium size unit. The dryer is big and it has all the cycles that you could use. This is my second stacked unit. The first one I had for five years with no problems and when we sold the house it was contingent on the washer/dryer staying! I love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Washer broke after two washes

Washer broke just after 2nd use. Within first month of purchase. I was very disappointed, after second wash i noticed my clothes had brown staines on them, so i looked inside washer drum and it was full of brown stuff on it i thought it was rust. it turned out to be a seal inside drum that had broken. Called for service, they came out ordered the washer drum, turns out they ordered the wrong one, so I had to wait another week. They sent the part and I had it replaced today. This is an expensive appliance and this Should not happen to a brand new washer... Very upset...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisy and limited space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed yesterday. I have to believe that everyone that purchases stack washer/dryers has limited space! Right? Well this unit was not made with that issue in mind. The vent pipe for the dryer is an issue. Our old dryer had an indentation built into the back of the dryer for the exhaust pipe. that way you can push the dryer all the way back against the wall. Well this dryer does not have that. My unit is now sticking out about a foot more than the old one. I would only recommend if the buyer has ample space.
Another issue is that it is very noisy. My old one was 27 yrs old and didn't make the noise this one is making.

Good with qualifications

The first unit delivered was defective & had to be replaced. Replacement is fine. I like it because as with my previous stacked unit, a 40-year-old Maytag, I can determine the load level & water temperature, & open it to toss in a forgotten item without restarting the cycle. It has ample capacity but no light within the washing drum. I'm groping in the dark to get clothes out & into the dryer.
