All Works Well

Washer and dryer are wonderful. I was surprised at how well both work and the capacity is at least the same or larger compared to my old washer and dryer. Wish I had tried this space saver solution before this but glad I have it now.

The dryer leaves black marks on your clothes and the washer breaks down on the spin cycle. GE has had to replace my unit twice in 1 1/2 years.

Has some fatal design flaws (access for repair)

Had many breakdowns. It flooded my floors. The dinky plastic clips that hold the struts on the washer tub broke. The replacement tub ring that was sent for this model didn't match this model because design was changed. The appliance tech could only replace two front struts; replacing the rear two would've cost more in time and labor than a new appliance. Then its brain got fried: it went into a cycle of rinsing, partially draining, refilling, and so on, over and over. Couldn't get it to stop, so had to unplug it and dump it. Too bad, because it looked good after ONLY FIVE YEARS!

Washer is the problem

Needed a single unit for space and was excited to find this capacity of a washer/dryer unit. We have owned it for 3 months, have had at least 5 service calls because the washer doesn't always run through a cycle. Have called GE and they don't seem to want to replace it...that's all we want!!! There are so many features I love about this product, especially with the children doing laundry, just need it to work properly. We paid extra for it to be delivered and installed...

Efficient Concept

I've owned unitized units before and had good experiences. This washing machine seems to clean clothes fine. I've owned the unit for 7 months and had 3 service calls; the main board has been replaced twice. There is also a problem with some sort of grease or metal markings on lighter loads (sheets) that the service person has been unable to duplicate or fix.

I got this machine on 5/29/12. It was incredibly loud from the beginning, and got worse. A couple weeks ago (March 2014) it stated leaking. A repairman came out and said it needs major repairs, all of which are covered under the warranty. What a piece of junk.
