Here we go again.

This is a replacement for the first washer we purchased that literally destroyed itself, damaged our wash room walls and dryer. It spins very fast and generates an unsettling rumbling noise just like the first one. We can see why it has been discontinued. The review from Consumer Reports rated it as the leading GE washer # 7 on the listing but I have to seriously question the accuracy of this review. The price was the determining factor in the purchase. I guess you get what you pay for.

Sounds to me the washer is getting very loud on spin cycle. I mean loud loud,and I'm going call about that issue.

THE WASHER DOES NOT CLEAN WELL. the vibration in the unit is very poor and loud. The high price does not match the performance of the unit.

I bought this washer 6 months ago. I am not pleased at all with it, it does not clean your clothes you have to wash more than once and it takes too long to wash a load of clothes.

bought this washer & had to have it exchanged within a week wouldn't even start up, stuck on "pause" , got a replacement and within 4 months it quit. needs service again. Now it won't even go past start. While I had the machine the spinning cycle rattled like a tornado. Not impressed with this at all for what it costs.

where do I begin?

1) the fabric softener area never rinses or drains properly- I have to manually clean it out (not pleasant, and if you don't have small hands, forget it).
2) something in the washer is tearing holes into our laundry. I washed a blouse on delicate cycle per the care instructions- when I took it out, it had small holes all over. I was upset, but thought perhaps somehow it was a fluke. I then washed our sheets (completely empty washer-no rogue objects in it), and again, mystery holes. Now I know it's no fluke. I'm petrified to wash anything else!
3) even after washing, it seems the clothes are not thoroughly cleaned. I have to run a cycle several times for only moderately clean clothes. (I have tried various laundry detergents, all intended for HE washers, and all name brand detergent. This isn't a detergent issue).
4) finally, there is a plastic/rubber piece around the top of the washer. It circles the entire drum. Somehow this has splintered and split (my washer just turned 1 year- normal family use- not industrial, etc.) I suspect this damaged area may be the culprit to the mystery laundry damage, though this piece is much higher than water level, so I didn't consider it a threat until today... Here is hoping GE sends out a service rep and stands by the product.

After installation, tried to do a load of laundry. After pressing start, water runs for 2 sec then switches to code "sense" never starts.
