Washer makes very little noise. Clothes comes out very clean and smell clean and uses very little water.

GE Washer can't be balanced and I was not informed

I bought this washer from a dealer with whom I have had positive experiences over the past years. From the beginning this washer bounced and bumped on the highest spin setting. The dealer tried to level it to no avail. I tried over two weeks to level it. Finally I called the dealer again and suddenly he said there is a balance kit from GE. I asked how was I to know if I didn't call him?? This is not good. He then offered to send out a tech three days later. I took a morning off from work to be here to let him in. He did not show. I called the dealer and they said the balancing kit had to be ordered. They had no compassion that I took off from work and that my new GE bounced like a tire out of balance. I had to deal with them to agree to come one afternoon after the part arrived. The person on the phone acted like I was an inconvenience for them. Bad experience with GE washers and with the Appliance dealer in Wilson, NC.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had to have this brand new washer serviced several times since purchasing less than 6 months ago. The problem has never been resolved. I am stuck with residue and lint on my clothes. I highly discourage buying this GE appliance.

Poor design

I have had this washer for 6 months. I bought it due to large capacity with no agitator so I could wash dog beds. This feature is what I wanted and am happy with that. However, the bleach dispenser does not work. The product description states - "Bleach Timed Flow Through" but when you add liquid bleach it runs straight through to the tub and damages the clothes. I need the bleach because this machine does not get light colored hand towels clean without it. I assumed it was not working properly and had a service man come out. Unfortunately, all he did was hook it up to a computer and tell me there was no malfunction. He also said that many other customers are complaining about the same thing. Also, my appointment time was between 1 and 5 PM but he came at 10 AM. My husband had to cancel an activity to make sure he would be here betweem 1 and 5 since I had an MD appt during that time.

Vibrates TERRIBLY!!!!!!!! Even though the load is totally balanced. Machine is level and it is still a ROYAL PAIN!!!!!!!!

Excellent washer for over 8 years. Just now came across our first problem. Time will wear parts out. Best washer I have had! Repair and keep using!
