I bought this washer (and a combo dryer set) when we recently moved. My old washer and dryer were doing fine but the people who bought our home wanted them. I selected this washer based on size ( we are a family of six) and claims of clean and silent washing. The washer so far ( 1 month in) meets those guidelines. I gave 3 starts because the washer does everything exactly it claims to do. For a major appliance I would only give a higher rating if the washer continues to do what it is currently doing in 7-10 years. That would be the hallmark of value that I can not assign at this time.

So Easy to do the Laundry!

I bought this washer 3 weeks ago, and I can't believe how simple it has become to do the wash! Can put up to twice the loads I did in my old washer!

Huge interior

Love this washer, the interior is large enough for comforters, yet, with the auto adjust for water height, it does a great job with the small loads too.

I just exchanged my two week old foreign-made HE top loader for this. Unlike the foreign made brand, this GE washer came with an easy registration and simple, plain English instruction card and manual that didn't require a half hour or an associate degree in engineering to get through.. Most importantly, I am now able to wash towels without the machine continuously going out of balance and needing "babysitting". The clothes are clean, and the GE machine is much quieter. Hopefully, I won't need to purchase another appliance soon; but you can be sure the FIRST STEP in doing so will be to verify that it is made in the USA!!!!

Looks good and sounds good

Just bought this to replace 19 year old washer that prior owners of our house left us. We wanted the largest capacity, quiet and efficiency we could find. So far it looks and sounds great. We have to run some more clothes through it to figure out best cycles to use. I can't give 5 stars until it lasts 19 years like the previous machine.
