We bought this disposer as part of our kitchen remodel and are very pleased with the sound level as well as the grinding process. Another plus is the cover for the drain that can remain securely in place at all times. One simple turn opens or closes the drain.

Purchased our first KitchenAid Disposer early 1999 after moving to Lexington, South Carolina. After 16 years it was still going strong with never a problem. In July of this year we moved to Florence, South Caroling purchasing a home about 8 years old. It wasn't long before the existing disposer started leaking. After we looked at all the big box stores my wife insisted she would have nothing but a KitchenAid disposer because of the flawless service we received in our previous home.
