Still getting used to it

We bought our dryer a few weeks ago and are still getting used to it. The sensor drying cycle (which is new for us) only seems to work if there are no towels in the load. We are confused about the descriptions on the dial for the timed drying cycle; it says "Cool Down" next to the 10 minute mark, so does that mean, if your load is still damp after you run a timed drying cycle and it needs more time, you can't run a load for 10 minutes on a high heat setting? The manual doesn't go into detail on this "Cool Down" description or the "Damp Dry" description. We just got the steam hoses connected last week, so we need to test that feature out. This is also new for us as our former dryer was probably over 20 years old.

Gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous dryer lasted 30 years. I wanted to replace it with a similar dryer that would be simple to use and last a long time. When I went shopping for the replacement I was shocked at the complicated controls and high prices of many new dryers. This dryer has mechanical operation, is easy to use and was a fair price. It installed quickly and easily in the same location. It dries my laundry which is all I need it to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You can't beat the quality of a Whirlpool. I have never had a bad one...any kind of appliance. This dryer has several features that my old one did not have. I'm sure this one will last for many years.
