I have had this since the beginning of the year. I find this printer to print beautiful photo's. I love the fact that I don't have to take out the paper and put in the photo papers. I am able to print from my phone as well. Which I couldn't do from my other Epson printer.
I love the fax feature. Great feature to have.

The printer was easy to set up, wireless feature was a breeze, and the quality of the printing is EXCELLENT! I would definitely recommend this printer. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because how to use the CD/DVD printing feature was not clear. It took me a while to realize the instructions are located on the printer itself - on the touch screen. It doesn't appear until you have your label completed and you select "print" on your computer. Also, CD/DVD tray is not built in, and the separate tray was a bit hidden. It's important that you follow the on screen instructions carefully regarding the insertion of the tray - how & when. However, once I "got it", it prints beautifully on my CD's as well! Very happy with this machine!

After having and using all of the features of this printer it is the best little printer I've ever used. I've noticed that a few reviews don't like how much ink it uses, but I have had no problems with it's usage. I'm guessing that most of the bad reviews are caused by the "first" ink cartridges that come with the printer. If they would just look at the ink number "277-I", which the "I" stands for initial. If they gave you full 277 or 277xl cartridges the printer would much more expensive to buy. I've have just changed from the "I" cartridges and my usage hasn't moved at all in two weeks of usage of the new cartridges. My only suggestion would be in the "monitor" software would be to add a percentage of use left along with the cartridge pic. Most everyone would like to know exactly when the need to change the cartridge or even a page count left number. This printer prints beautiful photos of any size and text/pics on regular paper is ok too. The double side prints is a great feature also. I've also used the CD print function and it works really well too. All in all it is a great printer. I've always liked Epson printers the best and this printer just sealed the deal.

THE 850 IS A SLICK LITTLE MACHINE

Packed with alot of bang for the buck. A minimal foot print with an automatic tray that deploys to catch your print job? Really? A laundry list of other features and it is a 6 color machine that puts out excellent photos. The software is very easy to use, even for those who may not be very savy in that area. You will not be dissapointed.
I haven't had the 850 long enough to run through the ink provided with shipping, but I have high hopes based on other users reviews.

Bought this one to replace my artisan 835 (my 3rd artisan in 4 years, but i love them) and can't get it to print any black. Have wasted 3 photo sheets and many sheets of reg paper but it just won't come out. Test sheet had line through the font. Each time I put more then one piece of paper in it jams and it won't feed photo paper through lower slot, i have to feed through the back. A disaster! I am taking this back first thing in the morning. :( Bring back the all in one Artisan series Epson!
