great little all in one printer

I love this printer. I can send documents from upstairs to be printed with no problems. The CD printer part works easily, and it does a great job on photos, too. The touch screen is well organized and easy to use. The large capacity ink cartridges seem to hold up for a long time. I am still on the original smaller capacity cartridges on 2 of the colors after a lot of printing in the 5 months I have owned it. The scanner works easily, and the automatic document feeder is a dream come true. The set up was so easy, even with my older Macbook. And I love it that it has 2 trays for the paper, so that I can keep 4x6 photo paper in one and the regular copy paper in the other. Oh yes, the copier part is fast and easy, too. I haven't had a chance to use the Fax part yet because I have no phone outlet nearby. I also have a large format Epson and a smaller photo printer, but this one has turned into my default because of it's ease of use and print screen choices when you select "print file", of which there are many. It is a great product!

I like the printer because it has a small foot print for an all-in-one and it's wireless. It was easy to set up and most of the features work very well. That being said I have had problems getting it to print, had to reboot printer and had problems with it not printing because it said the paper was low but there was plenty of paper in the bin. Not as easy to do envelopes as with the older Epsom printer (use the older one when doing more than one envelope). The ADF works better when I use it from my scanning software then from the control pad. I do like being able to print from any where in the house from my iPad and IPhone.

I absolutely recommend this printer for anyone who loves to print their pictures. It captures all the colors in the photo with great detail. I also like the fact that I can print 4" x 6" prints from a separate tray so I don't have to adjust my regular paper tray.

We had another manufacturer printer for a while and we never could depend on it. Often the wireless didn't work and it never printed more than 1 sheet at a time. This XP-850 has work great straight out-of-the-box. Printing pictures, documents DVDs, colors are great and every-time I send something to the printer it prints! Scanning and faxing are a breeze. The wireless printing has always worked and the setup was simple.

I was replacing a very old Epson printer. I love Epsons for the quality of photo printing. This one met my expectations. I was very easy to set up. Love wireless. Love all the features.

I find the printer to be excellent for photos which is my primary application. I also use it for color copies. Due to the cost of the ink I still use my Epson R380 for other color printing. I have had two problems which are covered below:
1. I have yet to figure out how to insert paper correctly for direct pass through.
2. As of this date none of the office supply retail stores in my area are carrying the 277XL cartridges.

I LOVE this printer. It has been a god-send to me since I had lots of trouble with my previous printer (previous printer was NOT an Epson). I love the quality and ease of use.
