Worst Ever

While the printer worked, it produced fine quality prints, but after about 100 sheets (and LESS THAN 1 WEEK OF OWNERSHIP!), it quit feeding through the rear feed. I then put paper in the bottom tray and that worked for about 15 sheets, then it too quit feeding - the printer kept saying there was no paper. The instruction book said to clean the rollers, which I did, but it did not work. This is the absolute worst - I can't print anything!!!!!
Pros: fast print speed, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Flimsy Construction, unreliable

I used this for about 3 months now and am pleased with it. I have yet to find a HP unit worth my time. I am re-installing and fixing HP printer/all-in-one stuff for friends and family (consumer grade equipment) often. Overbloated software and drivers. I scanned about 140 pictures for a friends 70th birthday. Worked great and the scanner driver (in advanced mode) was easy to use and was an asset with faded pictures. Shop around, if the price is right...I would get it again.
Pros: Compact Design, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Sharp Tones & Colors

This is an excellent machine, normal Canon quality.Nothing flimsy about it. Setup was easy and quick. quality of photo print is the best I've seen. Scanning is as good as I could hope for.
I'm pleased I made the choice. No more overpriced and under performing HP.

I think this is the best printer that I have used, besides a higher quality laser-type-printer. I think you will be getting the most for your money by purchasing this printer. I use a mac, and all my photos have looked as good printed as they did on my screen. Sometimes it is difficult to match photos, but this printer does it nicely! TOTALLY worth it!!!
My only complaint, so far, is that my black ink cartridge just ran out, and there is a second one in there, that I cannot tell the printer to use (maybe it's just for mixing with the CMY). I tried to get something to print in another color, like "blue", but I couldn't get it to print. Maybe it's just a Mac thing.....I don't know....

Cons: Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption

Great Printer, but has some issues

These printer has served us well overall. Yet it seems to suffer from a major gaff. The scanner will not work if the ink jet cartridges need to be replaced. Can't see an easy work around this. But it seems to me that disabling other features of the scanner that don't require the printer given a lack of ink is a bit restrictive. We now have to wait for more ink before we can scan and send important documents.

big mistake

I bought a new canon A720 camera and decided to get a Canon printer to compliment the new camera. Big Mistake.. The camera is fine but the printer has become a huge disapointment to me.
The ink is used at a very fast rate even in simple letter printing. The colors are way off in photo printing and there doesn't seem to be an actual adjuxtment to give true color to the photos. The printer takes relatively long time to queue up and the overall quality of the printer is cheap.
If I ever have the money to get another printer I will return to the other printer company.

high maintenance, poor performance

This is the most annoying and unreliable printer I have ever owned. I purchased it along with my iMac through Apple after being talked into purchase the MP610 instead of a more expensive printer. The only feature that works consistently is the scanner. I frequently receive ink tank errors. The ink tanks are expensive and twice now I've had to replace a new ink tank in less than a few weeks - and I don't use my printer more than a few of times a week.
