better than expected

I received the Pixma MP610 for Christmas. It wasn't the printer I had asked for, but was happy to get it. After using it for a couple months, I'm impressed with how quick and easy it is to use. You don't give up any quality with the speed of printing either. Great product for home use. Someone is always wanting me to scan and print something or download pics to print!
Pros: Lightweight/Portable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed

Great printer for the price

I bought the Pixma MP610 as a replacement for another brand that refused to work properly with Windows Vista. I was not disappointed. The Pixma MP610 has met all my expectations with one exception. Photo prints have a slightly reddish tint, otherwise no problems.

Outstanding Printer

We purchased this printer over a year ago. Over the course of that yera we have even moved. This printer just keeps on working. It was easy to set up and is easy to use. To keep the cost of cartridge replacements down just pay attention to whether you need praft quality or not. It has outstanding overall quality for each of the many features. One of our best purchases. It is a little larger, however the print speed and quality more than make up for that. We just put it on a side table and it does it's thing.

Good Value for the Price

Menu makes it quick and easy to move through different tasks. Clear scans and crisp printing/copying. Would be convenient to have a printer menu option for multi-page scans going to one PDF file (I use Adobe Standard, so I can compile scans into one PDF file on the computer, but would be convenient to scan them into one from the scanner).

I've purchased Canon printers in the past and have been very happy with the results. When I needed a new printer I purchased the Pixma 610 after seeing what great reviews it received. I was extremely disappointed with this printer. The printer uses a ton of ink and it broke within the first 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best printer so far

I have always purchased HP printers and after having a number of them break on me just after purchasing, I decided to look for a different brand. I consulted with Consumer Reports and found that the Canon MP610 was rated highly. I took a chance and purchased it. It is by far the best printer I have ever owned. It prints quickly, the quality is great, the design is compact and folds up when not in use. The ink cartridges seem to be less expensive as well, as you purchase separate cartridges for each color. I highly recommend this printer.

The printer has lots of options, is easy to use and does a good job scanning. Yes, it prints quickly, but to be honest I have seen lot better quality for a better price. Also, like others, my feed tray (bottom) has quite working. I have only had the printer for a little over six months and is not used heavily. For the price I paid I expect much better quality. It also consumes a lot of ink (even set up on draft printing in b&w.)
Pros: easy to use, fast print speed
Cons: Flimsy Construction, High Ink Consumption, unreliable

Super fast, the bugs are out and it works great , and can be found for a very resonalbe price. Thank you Cannon I am very happy.....It could be a bit more sturdy, but overall well worth it.
