Hi Jools, Picture quality display on your TV, is depends on external input settings and the type of cable that your are using, please make sure that your external input device is set to 720 resolution or above and make sure that your using either COMPONENT CABLE or HDMI CABLE to display HD Resolution. If your still having this issue please visit this website https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42981/p/61659%2C62766%2C93159%2C95099/c/65%2C66/kw/fuzzy%20pictures. Thanks,
Needed another TV and since we believed in Sony quality and reliability, we tried to find a good price for the brand. This LED TV is more compact, compared to others (LCD) that we currently own. The picture is a bit more sharp and there are virtually infinite ways to adjust color and brightness. This one also has the ''back light'' feature due to LED technology. Not the least of considerations for purchasing this TV is the operating cost. We're anticipating that energy costs will be cut in half, because of LED.
Overall the TV is of decent quality. From the start I noticed two or three small dark areas in the middle of the screen and realized the pixels were dead. I then looked on Sony's website and they said this is normal, but I have bought TVS and monitors before and had no dead pixels. I picked Sony over a Samsung TV because of all the great reviews that were on this TV. I guess I chose wrong because I love my other Samsung displays and have had no problems with them. Sony says on it's website that these are normal manufacturing defects, but it is very annoying when it is in the center of the TV, when working with white backgrounds or other light colors. I will probably not buy another Sony TV again, because I thought these displays would be superior over a Samsung display.
