Really Like this Printer

Really like this printer - second one we have purchased. This one is faster than the first - you don't have to wait very long (about 8 seconds) to get your first print or copy, and the wireless network connectivity is great - I had no problems setting up printer on the network. The control center works well for faxing, scanning, and printing. I did notice that the previous model had a studier paper feed tray and other plastic components but everything works just fine even though it has a "plastic" feel. Obviously, I recommend this printer.

Purchased this printer last year (09) and 3 months later a part needed to be replaced...the techinician came out really fast and solved the problem (not our fault). Always have toner cartridges available...it wastes toner fast. Don't like the fact that if you have to replace the drum, you need to purchase the entire kit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Somewhat dissappointing

The color is disappointing and the standby current is excessive, which wouldn't be so bad except turning the machine power switch off to avoid current draw during times of disuse causes the clock function to lose all its settings. Wireless setup is also difficult.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Multi-Function out there

While this Multi-Function delivers everything possible the only one draw back is the lack of a real time clock. When the unit is powered down, it looses current time. The only way to fix this is through a utility or menu options. It would have only cost $1 to add a on-board battery to keep time or via software to query time from the local network or WWMV. The only other minor annoyance is that the document feeder does not always bring copy or scanned documents in straight.

Very good machine but heavy as a tank when you want to move it. Fax will not work with VOIP phone systems. Navigating Menu settings is a little cumbersome.

colors and paper

this printer has some highs and some lows. It's fast enough for the kind of jobs I ask it to handle, the problems i have have to deal with is 1: the reproduction of colors; as a graphic designer, I need a perfect accuracy in that field, I can't have my greens right, they stay mostly blue! 2: another problem is the ability to handle different papers; the printer jams every time I use anything other than a regular copy paper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
