Love, love, love induction cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This induction cooktop is great. I'm so impressed by how quickly everything cooks. The 36" cooktop provides ample room to have several foods cooking at the same time and having a timer directly on the cooktop is a great feature.

Induction is the way to go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement of our first induction cooktop. The first one went after 4 years and 300 days. Good thing we had purchased a five year extended service plan. After 7 attempts to repair the unit, it was replaced. The lights keep coming on and beeping. The unit failed to work. We decided to give GE a second try, it's a great cooking experience, and hope the same things doesn't happen.

Roomy and easy to clean!

I have enjoyed this cooktop for over 2 years now. I love that it fits a large number of my pots and pans at one time. It is so easy to clean, no burners or knobs to get in the way. Stylish, convenient and durable. You can boil a pot of water in a flash and the burners cool down quickly when turned off. My favorite feature with a small child in the house is the control button that turns everything off when you are not using it.
I have had a few issues with it - the computer components have gone completely out on it recently. The cooktop is a 2007 production, but I have only had it just over 2 years now.
I would still recommend this product to a friend or family member. I would love to have all GE Profile appliances, I just can't afford them all on a small teacher salary.

I love this cooktop - it's exactly what I wanted, and I am so pleased that the sales person told me how to use it to the best advantage. You need to use the cleaning products that are recommended, the types of pots and pans that work best. Mine is in pristine condition after about 6 months of use. And you use less energy - the cooktop heat is so precise that you can cook on a lower heat level. Also, I like the fact that it's produced in the USA.

Love the new cooktop

Switched from gas to induction cooktop for the safety of the grandkids. So far we love it. Easier than the gas cook top to clean plus almost just as fast. Looks great and easy to install. Just make sure you have a 50 amp service for the hookup. Enjoy

Love the control

My husband just installed our new GE induction stove top it is all it was touted to be. One cup of water came to a rolling boil in 38 seconds. The control is great.

We put this cooktop in our remodel and we love it. We heard GE was the induction to get and that was right. It has good even heating, super boiling, & the lows are really low. One thing to consider -- The min. clear space below the housing is 12' so we were limited on what type of drawers to put below - I lost a shallow utensil drawer that I thought we were going to have. - worth it. It does look dirty quickly so I clean it daily - one small bit of cooktop cleaner - then a buff with a paper towel, & Wa la! Beautiful! 9 weeks since install & we love it!
