Best cooktop ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first cooktop...although I have owned and used a variety of ranges (gas, smooth top and coil) this is my first induction. I love it! Even if you don't cook often, I highly recommend a 36" as the extra space is invaluable.
Induction cooks quickly, does not overheat the kitchen when you have several pots cooking simultaneoulsy, cleans easily, and shuts off automatically one you remove the pan from the heating element.
Special pots/pans are required....however, it gave me the excuse to invest in a good set of cookware that will last more than a lifetime.
The cook top is easy to use and easy to clean - however I would recommend purchasing the cooktop without the stainless steel trim. I felt that it was not necessary to match the other stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and would not catch slight crumbs.
I really can't comment on the price as it was an upgrade appliance when I had my house built...I am sure the builders charged me more than retail.

I love my new induction cooktop!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit skeptical at first, but I cannot believe how eficient and quick this cooktop is!!! Unlike gas cooking, it does not heat up the kitchen while on.It biols a pot of water in about a minute! I have complete control of the heat- when I turn the burner off, it shuts down immediately. I am so happy I purchased this induction cooktop!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the induction!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love the speed at which water boils with this induction cook top. Cleaning is a breeze and it always looks clean and neat. My only issue is, the cook top came with some cook top cleaner and a scouring pad. What is not told to you is that the scouring pad will scratch the stainless steel trim around the cook top. So now my clean, neat looking cook top has scratches on the stainless steel trim.
Wish the control lock would work when one of the burners is on locking out the other burners from being turned on.
All in all, this cook top performs beautifully and I would buy again!

I have this installed in an island with soapstone counters. It looks wonderful. Considered gas, but the expense to run the lines was too great in my neighborhood. Have always loved Induction Cooking and am so glad I made this choice. What a pleasure to use.

It's a good induction cooktop. The reason that I can't rate it higher is because:
1. Not easy to change the setting of a cooking element. For example, if you want to change from 9 to 3, you need to keep pressing the "-" for about 2 seconds.

2. The timer is useless. It only sounds an alarm when the time is up. I can do it better with my cell phone. The timer should control the cooking time of a cooking element.

We love this cooktop! Looks great and works perfectly. Be careful dragging pans across the stainless frame because it scratches very easily

Love Induction

I've only lived in homes with the standard electric cook tops so I can't comment on induction vs. gas. Having said that I will never go back to standard cook tops after using induction. It boggles my mind how fast I bring a giant pot from room temp. to a running boil. The home I purchased had this cooktop already installed so I didn't shop around or compare features but this model seems to be more than sufficient.
I should add the cook top is a lot easier to clean as only the pan/pot gets hot and not the element; eliminating much of the 'cooked on' junk you usually have to scrub.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing cooktop!

We purchased this cooktop in February for our kitchen remodel. It is an amazing induction cooktop. Heats quickly and evenly, and cools immediately. Love the five burners of various sizes as well!
