Nice for a small fridge

We bought this size because we have a tiny kitchen. Pros: adequate room in the refrigerator side. Cons: There's no filter which the bigger models have or a humidity adjuster on the bins. There's not a lot of room in the freezer because of the ice/water dispenser. We have a second fridge in our basement so this is not a huge problem for us. I feel this fridge was more expensive than the common size ones and we got less features, like the built in filter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just purchased this side by side and am very happy with the quality of the product. I highly recommend this side by side for anyone that requires a small width (30-1/2") refrigerator/freezer combo.

Quality and long life

So far, so good.
My old GE Refrigerator was in my service for 26 years and finally stop working.
So when the question was what buy GE was #1 to look for.
The problem was the very specific space dimensions in my kitchen for the fridg.
And the only GE has the dimentions that can feet.
Bravo GE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now we have to wait and see how it will performed.
I just hope that it will be another 20 years at list!! Hope!!

Wasted space

I had to buy this particular refrigerator because I wanted to go back to a side-by-side but I am limited on width space. I had 19 cu ft prior that had more room inside than the newer one. I prefer the wire racks for circulation over the glass racks and they could be at least 2 inches deeper. I would like to be able to fit 6 gallons of milk on one shelf like I used to.
Too much large plastic, I dont like the glass on the bottom shelf being a few inches away from the back wall with a plastic bubble that doesnt stay in place. The door shelves are not nearly roomy enough. It works and keeps things cold but I have to continue to use my previous refrigerator in the garage to hold extra things to avoid multiple trips to the store because the nearest place I shop is 7 miles away

Great value and QUIET!

Just in time re-modeling replacement for an original 1976 fridge that finally gave up the ghost. Pros: Spacious interior in both freezer and fridge, engineered well, great water/ice dispenser, affordable, good value, well lit interior AND ... quiet! Have to check to be sure it's running.
Cons: Where's the filter? Only fridge offered in this width and is deeper than GE fridge we replaced, (which is deeper than the counter and jutting out in the path of the door casing where the old one sat in our condo galley kitchen) AND ... the only other thing was no smooth surface offering. Just the textured surface. **ONE NOTE** Keep in mind that this was my choice for replacing a typical, old style single lower door fridge and upper door freezer. There may be an exact replacement. I did not bother to check.

After researching for a long amount of time, I knew I wanted to buy from GE. My size limitations led me to this fridge and it was my only choice! I love it and do not regret my purchase at all. However, I only gave 4 stars because the price was higher than bigger models and it did not come with a water filter.
